Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 August 2026. These terms cover use of GroundingGeo websites and products, including the free domain-email scan and merchant dashboard at dash.groundinggeo.com, and the Shopify app where applicable.

Acceptance

By using GroundingGeo (scanning a site, creating an account, publishing manifests, or installing our Shopify app) you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

What we provide

GroundingGeo helps businesses diagnose AI discovery readiness and publish verified GEO guides such as /agents.md. Scores, pillar lights, and recommendations are informational tools based on publicly reachable site content and (for Shopify) data you authorize. They are not legal, SEO, or ranking guarantees.

Accounts and email

Access is primarily via one-time email links. You must provide an email you control. For free scans and site claims, we require a mailbox that matches the scanned domain (with limited dogfood exceptions). You are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Abuse free-scan or email quotas, automate submissions to evade limits, or probe others’ sites without authorization
• Attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service beyond ordinary use
• Upload or publish content you do not have rights to publish
• Use GroundingGeo to violate applicable law or third-party terms

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, unpaid bills (when billing applies), or risk to the service.

Crawling public pages

When you request a scan or rescan, we fetch publicly reachable pages on the domain you submit (for example homepage, robots.txt, policy pages, and limited catalog samples). You represent that you are authorized to request analysis of that domain.

Publishing

Publishing an agents guide or related file is your choice. You remain responsible for content on your origin and for any redirect or upload configuration on your host.

No warranty

Services are provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of scores, or that AI systems will recommend your business.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GroundingGeo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the services. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the services is limited to the greater of fees you paid us for the service in the prior three months or €50.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
